Arctic ArtVentures

Ages 6-9

Our popular ArtVentures programs allow children to learn about visual arts in a fun and non-competitive environment. Students experiment with different media and create projects based on an arctic theme for the 4 days. Students should bring a packed lunch. Limited to 10.

Discovering Art, Mixed Media

Ages 10+

Mixed Media offers young artists the opportunity to study drawing and painting, in a focused, creative environment. Gain familiarity and proficiency with pencil, brush, and paint, then use these media for personal creative expression. Students should bring a packed lunch. Limited to 10.

Pottery & Wheelthrowing

Ages 9 - 12

Instructor: Ann Fitzgerald

Tuesday - Friday, Feb 16-19, 9:00am-2:00pm

This intensive pottery class will give students an introduction to the basics of hand-building and wheelthrowing or allow them to build on their previous ceramics study. All projects will be glazed and kiln- fired. Students should bring a packed lunch. Limited to 8.

By Popular Demand! Jewelry & Metalsmithing: A Metals Sampler Intensive

Ages 12+

Instructor: Margaret Langdell or Heather Wang

Tuesday - Friday, Feb 16-19, 9:00am-2:00pm

This class will explore the different types of metals used in metalsmithing. Techniques include shaping, soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper and brass. Students can make earrings, bracelets, brooches, boxes and more. Silver available for a small additional fee. Students should bring a packed lunch. Limited to 6..
