Jewelry & Metalsmithing: A Metals Sampler Intensive
Instructor: Heather Wang and Margaret Langdell
Monday - Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm
This class will explore the different types of metals used in metalsmithing. Techniques include shaping, soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper and brass. Silver available for a small additional fee. Limited to 6.

Pottery & Wheelthrowing Intensive, ages 9 - 12
Instructor: Ann Fitzgerald
Wednesday - Friday, 9:00am-2:00pm
This intensive pottery class will give students an introduction to the basics of hand-building and wheelthrowing or allow them to build on their previous ceramics study. All projects will be glazed and kiln-fired. Students should bring a packed lunch. Limited to 8.

Learn to Draw like a Pro Intensive, ages 8+
Instructor: Elizabeth Rocha
Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 5:30 pm
This fun, yet intensive, course will cover basic drawing with a focus on the character. Assignments will build upon each other beginning with drawing shapes, use of light and shadow, perspective and composition. We will then draw the figure: basic anatomy, construction of the body, poses and gesture drawing. Limited to 10.

Watercolor and Drawing Intensive

Monday-Friday 10:00am–1:00pm; 1:00pm–4:00pm
Beginners learn everything about watercolor in one week, while advanced students get to indulge in their favorite activity full time. Like summer camp for grown-ups, this week is always full of surprises and joy.

Landscapes: Intensive Oil Painting with Kim Mellema
Instructor: Kim Mellema
Monday-Friday 10:00am–1:00pm; 1:00pm–4:00pm
Students learn the basics of oil painting in a focused and supportive environment. Open to both beginners and those with experience. Focus will be on observation and composition of still lifes and landscapes. Students will look at how different light sources change the local color of objects.

Botanical Drawing: Intensive
Instructor: Anne Steinman
Monday-Friday 6:00-9:00pm
Learn to realistically capture the natural color and texture of flowers using pencil and watercolor techniques. Fine-tune your observation skills as you learn how to draw flowers and plants with attention to detail and color accuracy. Explore light and shade, form, and color mixing. Numerous demonstrations and individual attention included. All abilities welcome. Limited to 10.
August 17-21

Calligraphy and Illumination: Intensive
Instructor: Sue Funk
Monday-Friday 6:00pm–9:00pm
Long before computers and printed manuscripts, scribes carefully hand-printed books. Today calligraphy is an art form and illumination is the decoration and story around letters. In this class, students will learn to use a calligraphy pen, create the alphabet and then illuminate letters with watercolor and art markers. All levels are welcome to participate.
August 17 - 21

Beaded Jewelry: Intensive
Instructor: Ashley Procopio
Monday-Friday 6:00pm–9:00pm
Come learn the joys of creating and making your own beaded jewelry! Learn how to use the proper tools and materials. Start and finish pieces such as necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Instructions will cover a variety of techniques that will take you from basic beading to more intricate designs and methods, such as multi-strand pieces and wire wrapping
