    Artventures

    Ages 6-9
    Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:00pm

    Students learn about visual arts in a fun and non-competitive environment. Each week is based on an exciting theme. The students will explore painting, drawing, sculpting, collage, and more! Bring a packed lunch and a snack. Limited to 15.

    Under the Sea

    Learn about the deep blue sea and create your own sea creatures and aquarium life!

    Travel back to the time of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs and the Great Pyramids.

    Laughs will abound as your child spends an entire afternoon painting only with their feet or building a sculpture with only scotch tape. We�ll really think outside the box!

    Join the Circus

    Lead Teacher: Kristen Hoops

    Explore the different spectacles of the circus and create your own. You will be able to use your imagination to create your own show and dazzle the class.

    Pop Art

    Explore Warhol, Lichtenstein, and their bright fun artwork while you print and paint your own inspired pop art!

    Art-chitecture

    Take a look at the cityscapes around us, especially the Boston skyline. We will observe the structures and styles of different buildings and use our observation to draw and paint our own city skylines.

    August 3 - 7

    Recycled Art

    Lead Teacher: Kristen Hoops

    Create eco-friendly works of art! Projects will include mosaics and sculptures built from recyclable materials.

    August 10 - 14

    Aztec World

    Lead Teacher: Joe Carrigg

    Learn about this ancient culture by making Aztec coins, mask and pyramids and building traditional Aztec games.

    August 17 - 21

    Wild West

    Lead Teacher: Vanessa Irzyk

    Saddle up and take a ride out to the frontier. We�ll take a look at life in the 19th century, the Land Runs, and the Gold Rush!

    August 24 - 28

    Outer Space

    3-2-1 Blast off! Create two and three-dimensional representations of the solar system and other galaxies.

    Summer Studios

    Ages 10-16
    Mon. - Thur., 10am - 2pm

    Summer Studios is a two week program that offers young artists the opportunity to study drawing, painting, and ceramics in a focused, creative environment. After gaining familiarity and proficiency with pencil, brush, and clay, the student will be inspired to use these media for personal creative expression. Students study two hours of drawing and painting, and two hours of ceramics each day. Bring a lunch for the break. When you call to register, please specify age group: Ages 10-12 or Ages 13-16. Limited to 8 per age group.

    Pottery & Wheelthrowing Intensive, ages 9 - 12

    This intensive pottery class will give students an introduction to the basics of hand-building and wheelthrowing or allow them to build on their previous ceramics study. All projects will be glazed and kiln-fired. Students should bring a packed lunch. Limited to 8.

    Jewelry & Metalsmithing: A Metals Sampler Intensive

    This class will explore the different types of metals used in metalsmithing. Techniques include shaping, soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper and brass. Silver available for a small additional fee. Limited to 6.

    Learn to Draw like a Pro Intensive

    ages 8+
    Instructor: Elizabeth Rocha

    This fun, yet intensive, course will cover basic drawing with a focus on the character. Assignments will build upon each other beginning with drawing shapes, use of light and shadow, perspective and composition. We will then draw the figure: basic anatomy, construction of the body, poses and gesture drawing. Limited to 10..
