Moms, Dads and Tots

Enhance your toddler’s creativity and make new friends along the way. Explore painting, textured collage, colorful clay, and much more. Parent and child will work together creating projects in a relaxed atmosphere. Snacks are provided, or bring your own. Limited to 8 pairs.

Drawing & Painting
Ages 4-6

Have fun learning the basics of drawing and painting. In these classes, students will focus on drawing and painting skills, as well as trying their hand at collage and 3-D work. Students will use : pencils, pastels, tempera paint and more! Projects will include self-portraits, 3-D construction and animal prints.

Pottery & Wheelthrowing
Ages 5-12
Learn about the creative possibilities of clay. These classes introduce students to hand-building techniques and the basics of wheelthrowing. Students will develop sensory skills, an understanding of balance and concepts of textures. Limited to 8.

Build It
Ages 7-10
Instructor: Elizabeth Rocha
During this class students will learn to build models of their own designs.Drawing inspiration from architecture, natural forms, machines and sculpture, students will create original constructions. This class will provide structure for the students to explore making original works using a variety of found and artist’s materials, such as board, balsa wood, string, wire, and small objects.While working on a small scale, students can explore big ideas. Students will work from drawings to working in 3 dimensions, combining geometric and curvilinear forms.

Drawing & Painting Advanced

In this class, students will refine their skills in drawing and painting while populating their world with imaginative characters.Working with colored pencil, ink, watercolor and mixed media, students will learn to render landscapes, still lifes and figures. Limited to 8.

Comics

Master the steps needed to make your own comic book. Learn character design, plotting and perspective. You will master all the tricks to creating a dynamic page turner. All you need is paper, pencils and a vivid imagination! Beginner and advanced students are welcome. Limited to 10.

Learn To Draw Like A Pro!
Ages 8+ and Ages 10+
Instructor: Elizabeth Rocha
This fun, yet intensive, course covers basic drawing, with a focus on the character. Through a series of weekly exercises, students polish their ability to see clearly and to render the world around them. Explore ways of creating space, light and texture, while becoming familiar with figure drawing, basic anatomy, construction of the body, poses and gesture drawing. Drawing supplies and materials will be provided. Limited to 10.

Metals Sampler
Ages 12+
Instructor: Ashley Vick
This class will explore the different types of metals used in Metalsmithing. Techniques include shaping, polishing, soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper and brass.
