Kick off your weekend at the BAC! Bring a date to the ceramics studio and learn to make your own pots together! Bring light refreshments to enjoy as your teacher guides you through the basics of the wheel and handbuilding. Everyone will create two pots to be glazed and fired.

Home is where the heart is!  Artists and architects work hand in hand to design spaces where we eat, play and sleep based on our environment and needs. In this class, students will use mixed media materials to make collages inspired by their impressions and feelings of home and environment.

Develop your observational skills and drawing and painting techniques while exploring the natural world and your own creativity. Students will examine at the form, pattern and color of the flora and fauna they encounter together in various Brookline parks. Using pencil, pen and watercolor, students will learn to see more deeply and respond creatively to what they see in this exciting five-week series. All levels welcome.

Learn the art of beautiful writing with demonstrations and exercises to develop your handwriting. Class projects will include poetry, cards and invitations.

Embrace your inner artist at this unique date night! You and your date will learn printmaking with monotypes and experimental linoleum block techniques. Have fun with abstract and spontaneous methods while creating beautiful cards and prints!

Enameling is the process of fusing glass onto metal. Enamels are available in a rainbow of colors. In this exciting one day workshop, students are introduced to the principles of metal preparation, enamel application and finishing processes. All levels welcome!

Join us at the Museum of Fine Arts to look at master modern works by North American artists. Led by Cambridge-based artist, Julie Graham, we will explore the "Making Modern" exhibit, deconstructing the compositions, paint and techniques used, with the goal of improving our own work. Following the examinations, attendees will have a chance to share insights and exchange perspectives. All levels of artists welcome.

Meet inside in the MFA lobby near the cafe. Museum admission must be paid separately.
