Learn rendering skills for still-lives, portraits, landscapes or abstracts. This course covers various techniques for creating rich and complex drawings and paintings, including color mixing, layering acrylics and colored pencils and more.

Students at all levels of experience are welcome to participate in this studio-style course. Beginners will learn techniques and tricks to understand how to use watercolors effectively and efficiently to create beautiful works of art, and have the chance to try mixed-media by incorporating pen and ink techniques. Advanced students are encouraged to embark on personal projects.

With its colorful marbled effects, batik offers a variety of possibilities for decorating fabric. Learn to express your unique style in scarves and clothing, pillows, wall hangings, sculptures or greeting cards with this inspiring medium.

 

 

INTRODUCTION TO DRAWING

Have you always wanted to learn how to draw, or just want to brush up on your skills? In this introduction to drawing class, students are introduced to shading, crosshatching and perspective. Lessons include line drawing, sketching and gesture. Enjoy the basics of drawing in a relaxed and informal environment. *This class has been postponed one week from its original start date of 9/19.

Are you looking for a studio space to work on personal 2D projects? Drop in to our open studio to work independently in a creative and supportive environment. These sessions are drop-in and do not include instruction or materials.
