 Watercolor and Ink

Students at all levels of experience are welcome to participate in this studio-style course. Beginners will learn techniques and tricks to understand how to use watercolors effectively and efficiently to create beautiful works of art, and have the chance to try mixed-media by incorporating pen and ink techniques. Advanced students are encouraged to embark on personal projects. No class 7/3. Runs: June 19-August 21

 

 

Open Studio: Batik

Day: Monday

Time: 7:00-9:30pm

With its colorful marbled effects, batik offers a variety of possibilities for decorating fabric. Learn to express your unique style in scarves and clothing, pillows, wall hangings, sculptures or greeting cards with this inspiring medium. No class 7/3. Runs: June 19-August 21

 

 

Introduction to Drawing

Have you always wanted to learn how to draw, or just want to brush up on your skills? In this four-week introduction to drawing class, students of all levels will have a chance to try both realism and gestural drawing. Classes include sketching in the beautiful park adjacent to the Brookline Arts Center. Enjoy the basics of drawing in a relaxed and informal environment. No class 7/4. Runs: June 27-July 25

 

 

Painting in Oil and Acrylic

Day: Thursday

Students at all levels of experience are welcome to participate in this studio-style course. Techniques and methods used in art history as well as by contemporary artists will be featured in class so students may broaden their understanding of the vast world of painting. Advanced students are encouraged to embark on personal projects. No class 8/3. June 22-August 24.
