Summer Children's Classes Ages 5 and Under

 

 

ART JAMBOREE! | AGES 2-3

June 10-14 or June 17-21

Class Fee: $160 (5 days), $75 (2 days)

 

Start the summer having fun with your child in an artistic environment! Over the course of one week, parents and caretakers will join their children and explore a variety of mediums, including paint, playdough, music, movement and sensory activities. These activities are geared towards play, expression and developing fine motor skills, as well as encouraging and cultivating group socialization. Attend all five classes, or drop in for two.

 

 

ART MEDLEY | AGES 4-5

June 10-14 or June 17-21

Class Fee: $35/day, Materials: $5/day

 

Let your creativity loose with the opportunity to try a variety of materials and art styles in this smorgasbord course! In addition to offering guided creative play, each day of the week is designated to making art in a different medium, including clay, printmaking, painting and more.

 

MONDAY:  CLAY

This class will introduce pottery through hand-built pinch-pots and cups.

 

TUESDAY: PRINTMAKING

We will create fun and beautiful prints using foam, stamps and natural materials. Students can make work for the walls or a handmade set of cards.

 

WEDNESDAY: PAINTING

Wednesday is all about painting as we try our hand at making landscapes, animals and rainbows!

 

THURSDAY: COLLAGE

This colorful and whimsical collage class is sure to brighten your child’s day! Perfect for those who like using lots of materials in their creations.

 

FRIDAY: SCULPTURE

Build 3D creations using model magic, recyclables, wood craft sticks and more. Project choices include miniature houses, robots, animals and vehicles!

 

 

FAMILY ART STATIONS  |  AGES 2-4

Parents and caretakers join their children in a variety of artistic experiences. From sensory and fine motor, to summer-themed crafts, families work together to transform 2D and 3D materials into artistic creations. Alongside craft projects are stations for movement, play and stories. Attend all eight weeks or drop-in for four.
