ARTVENTURES: GREENWORKS!  |  Ages 5-7

Our ArtVentures program for children blends fun with learning through a balance of structured projects, creative expression and play. We promote artistic exploration while developing technique and critical-thinking skills. Each theme is explored through a variety of mediums and imaginative projects. Students have three breaks during the day to explore our beautiful park, play on the connecting playground or participate in a game with their peers.  *5 year olds must be enrolled in kindergarten.

 

Greenworks!: This will be a day long program full of exciting projects focused on art-making and its relationship to the environment. Projects include nature-based painting, a celebration of the changing season, explorations of our local ecosystems and sculptures from recycled and repurposed materials.

 


REALIST STUDIO INTENSIVE |  Ages 8-12

Through painting and drawing, learn the fundamental techniques for creating realistic works of art. Whether you are new to realism or improving your technique, this workshop covers perspective, creating light and shadow in art, color mixing and more. 

 


SCULPTURAL CLAY INTENSIVE |  Ages 10-12

9:00am-5:30pm | Teacher: TBD

Take a day in our studio to explore the wonderful world of clay and all of its sculptural possibilities. Explore techniques such as coil building, double pinch pot making and sculpting slab mugs in addition to other fun options!

 


JEWELRY AND METALS INTENSIVE |  Ages 12-17

9:00am-5:30pm | Teacher: TBD

Class Fee: $95, Materials: $10

 

Students will gain hands-on knowledge of jewelry making and metalsmithing techniques including soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper, nickel and brass.
