Gadsby Awards 2019

Tuesday, June 4, 6:00-7:00pm

In celebration of artistic achievement and creativity, the Brookline Arts Center annually honors over 40 Brookline Public School students with a Gadsby Award.

The Gadsby Awards were established to honor Patricia Gadsby, who served as a Brookline Arts Center Community Advisor from 1980 to 1990. She was an enthusiastic, loyal and creative friend to the BAC throughout her life. The Gadsbys celebrate Tricia’s spirit, her love of the arts and her ability to inspire those around her. With the Gadsby Awards, we hope to encourage Brookline students to study and create art, and to think creatively.

Artwork by Brookline Public School students in grades four through seven is chosen for the awards. The seventh grade Gadsby Award winners' work is beautifully framed by the Framers Workshop. The seventh grade winners also receive a scholarship for an art class at the BAC. Grades four through six receive a discount to BAC classes as well as art supplies generously donated by Art Supplies Wholesale.
