WATERCOLORS BY LUCA RICCO

Meet the artist at the opening reception on Friday, October 22nd from 6 - 8 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. (Gallery will be closed on Columbus Day, Monday, October 11 and Veterans' Day, Thursday, November 11. Admission is free.

The Brookline Arts Center's gallery on the park is the perfect setting for these light-filled studies of sky and ocean.

Luca Ricco studied art as a young man in Italy. He often drew inspiration from the towns and streets of his youth. In this new series of watercolors, Luca unites his love of color with fresh observations of water and light.

While Luca has been challenged with physical problems on his right side, he employs vigorous brushstrokes to convey the power and grandeur of nature. Luca’s ability to express the dramatic color of light between sky and water raises his art to a new level of majesty.

The Brookline Arts Center is supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
