The Brookline Arts Center is pleased to host its annual Faculty Exhibition curated by Marilyn Lasek.

Marilyn Lasek, artist and independent curator, is the Director of the R.E.S. Gallery in Brookline. A long time Brookline resident and participant in Brookline Open Studios, she also maintains an art studio in Allston where she has coordinated their annual November Open Studios for nearly 25 years.
Under Boston City Hall's Mayor Menino in the Arts, Tourism and Special Events Department, she served as Visual Art Director for the inaugural and 4th annual Boston Ähts Festival. Lasek has curated major exhibitions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Gallery, Massport Terminal A Gallery, the Boston Convention Center Gallery, the inaugural and 5th anniversary exhibitions at the Honan Allston Branch of the Boston Public Library, among others. She is a founding and active member of the Artist Certification Review Panel for the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA).
Lasek's educational background in Art and Art History from Emmanuel College is supplemented by graduate studies in Art History at Boston University, Harvard Extension School and studio courses at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Massachusetts College of Art, as well as numerous other workshops, courses and seminars. She is an active freelance photographer, specializing in events and artist portfolios, and occasionally accepts private students in watercolor and photography.
