Birthday Parties
Art Parties for Ages 4 and up
Children and parents love celebrating birthdays at the Brookline Arts Center. Our experienced party planner, who is also an art instructor, will organize a fun and creative party for groups ages 4 and up. Select a date and time, let us know the number of guests, choose a theme and 2 art projects, and let us take care of the rest! Everyone leaves with an armful of artwork and a smile!
These are drop off parties, we do not have the space to accommodate parents also (except for the parents of the birthday celebrant). For 4 year old parties we do ask that one parent stay for each guest (only one). There are enjoyable cafes and restaurants on Beacon Street where the parents of guests could meet to chat.
Parties are 2 hours long; an hour and a half of art projects and a half an hour for refreshments and clean up. You will have 15 minutes before the party to set up. You bring the decorations, refreshments and paper goods; we supply the fun! Parents need to stick to the schedule or there is an overtime fee.
We can also host Art Parties for celebrations other than birthdays!
When
Almost every Saturday and Sunday we have the following times available for parties.
- Saturday 1:30pm-3:30pm
- Saturday 4:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday 10:00am-12:00pm
- Sunday 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Sunday 4:00pm-6:00pm
Group Size
The maximum number of guests at a party is 15; if the birthday child is turning 4, the maximum number of guests is 10. Siblings need to be included in the total number of guests.For the 2nd option (jewelry and enameling parties) the maximum group size is 8.
Prices
Parties of 12 or fewer:
- $220 for BAC members
- $250 for non-members
$15 per additional guest, up to 15 maximum
A $30 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date and time, this $30 will go toward the total cost. There is also an overtime fee of $3/per minute: parents must adhere to the schedule.
Art Projects
Option 1
Spin art at every party!
Choose two of the following:
- masks
- collage
- puppets
- drawing
- painting
- jewelry
- print-making
- 3-D construction
- decorated t-shirts (you provide a blank t-shirt for each guest to decorate)
Option 2 - This option must be specially arranged with the BAC office and jewelry teacher: Maximum number of guests is 8. Available on Sundays (10 - noon, 2 - 4 and 4 - 6 p.m.), because the jewelry studio is busy with classes on Saturdays.
Ages 11+
*enamel projects incur an additional materials charge of $30 per party
Ages 12+
*silver projects incur an additional materials charge per person
Theme
You may provide a theme if you wish, it is not necessary.

The host will be contacted to confirm receipt of deposit by the office. The party planner will contact the host the week before the party to discuss details. The balance is due the day of the party. Call 617-566-5715 with questions.
