Brookline Arts Center Kicks Off A New Year of Community Art Activities with Annual Meeting

The Brookline Arts Center invites the public to attend its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The Brookline Arts Center is a well-known grass-roots community arts center that provides affordable, quality art classes, gallery exhibitions and educational events for adults and children.

The Annual Meeting will take place at the Brookline Arts Center building, located at 86 Monmouth Street, at the corner of St. Mary's Street, near the St. Mary's and Fenway stops on the MBTA Green line.

We look forward to welcoming the community to our Annual Meeting, said Board President Lenore Sempert. The past year has been busy with many successful events, such as our Crafts Showcase, the 'Make a Night of It' concert with music by Harriet Goldberg, and many successful gallery exhibitions. Visitors at the annual meeting will have an opportunity to hear about our plans for next year, and have a chance to meet the Arts Center board.

The Brookline Arts Center is located at 86 Monmouth Street in Brookline, one block from the St. Mary's stop on the MBTA Green line. For more information, call 617-566-5715 or www.brooklineartscenter.com.

About the BAC: The non-profit Brookline Arts Center began 40 years ago in the basement of a Brookline home and in 1968 moved to its present home, a former firehouse. The Gallery was opened in 2002, and presents exhibitions and educational events each month. The Brookline Arts Center is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
