BROOKLINE ARTS CENTER RECEIVES DONATION FROM BROOKLINE BANK
Brookline Arts Center recently received a $5,000 donation from Brookline Bank. The donation will be used as seed money for building preservation and improvements at the Center. Throughout the Brookline Arts Center’s 45-year history, the Brookline Bank has been an important donor, supporting preservation and improvement of the arts center’s studio classrooms.
“We were thrilled to receive this generous donation from the Brookline Bank. It will allow us to begin planning the renovation of space and facilities that support many of the educational art programs we offer to the public,” said Susan Navarre, Executive Director of the Brookline Arts Center. “We hope to strengthen and expand our classes in ceramics, drawing, painting, and many other art media.”
The Brookline Arts Center is housed in an historic former fire house on Monmouth Street which provides a welcoming atmosphere to artists and visitors. The improvement plans will focus on maximizing the space for arts programs at the Center. “The funding will help the Center continue making art and education accessible to everyone in the community regardless of background or economic means,” according to Navarre.
The Brookline Arts Center has provided quality art education and programming for adults and children since its founding by Brookline residents in 1964.
