Watercolors by Luca Ricco Inspire in New Exhibition at Brookline Arts Center

Starting March 10, 2006, the Brookline Arts Center will present a selection of new watercolors by Brookline artist and architect Luca Ricco. Though Ricco has been partially paralyzed in recent years, during this time, his work has grown and developed to new levels of mastery. The exhibition will continue through April 9, 2006.

Luca Ricco: Watercolors will be on view in the Brookline Arts Center gallery through April 7, 2006. Meet the artist at an opening reception, on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.

Luca Ricco studied art as a young man in Italy. After a busy career in architecture, he has returned to his original love of fine art, in an extraordinary series of new watercolors.

"These watercolors attest to the power of optimism and the human spirit. Their intense color, sensitivity to the beauty that surrounds us, and their expressiveness come from an extraordinary talent," says Brookline Arts Center Executive Director Susan Navarre.

The Brookline Arts Center is located at 86 Monmouth Street, at the corner of St. Mary's Street and convenient to the MBTA Green line, as well as to numerous bus lines. For more information, call 617-566-5715 or visit www.brooklineartscenter.com.

Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Admission is free. This exhibition is sponsored by Chobee Hoy Real Estate Associates, Inc. The programs of the Brookline Arts Center are sponsored in part by the Brookline Commission for the Arts and the Brookline Community Foundation. The Brookline Arts Center is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
